He's adorable, and I still think your older boy has some of the most gorgeous eyes I've ever seen. I also wanted to say I hear you on the adoption linkages. When my oldest was born, I first thought about my first mom. When my youngest was born was the first time I consciously remember being sad thinking that I may never know whether anyone held me as a newborn, or where I had spent the first almost 4 months of my life. Realizing how powerful the experience is as a parent makes us ponder how it affected us as the child too, I guess. I am a sucker for little boys. I have two and both of their births were an awakening of sorts for me as far as adoption "issues" goes. My son younger son also did not leave our sight during our entire hospital stay. I tucked him inside my gown just to get closer to him. I too spent that time wondering how my mother could live with never having seen me. Just as I was being born they sedated her so she did not witness the miracle of my birth. For some reason that still haunts me. Thank you for sharing the stories your newest baby's birth and homecoming. My thoughts and prayers are with the four of you.
