Seek and ye shall find.
Therefore search and see if there is not some place where you may invest your humanity.
Albert Schweitzer (1875 - 1965)
Question for those of you who write a blog. Have you ever checked out how people get to you? For example, I use sitemeter to track hits on my blog and get a report of where people come from when they get to my blog. A few come from my homepage and quite a few come from other bloggers such as This Woman’s Work or Bijou’s Bastardized Odyssey
Then there are the people who get here by searching for a topic. For example, someone used the search string “angry post forums adoption” and I came up number 5 in the list on Google for my topic “Angry at Adoption”
Kind of funny. Here are some others:
short sensitive sentences Definately not what they were searching for.
my son sneaks out at night how do i stop it not exactly along the same lines but not sure I would trust the internet for help on this topic. The people at Home Depot might have a few ideas though.
Triangle of Love Symbol of Adoption I think they got a bit more than they bargained for.
reason why an adopted chid should know he was adopted This one is kind of funny because I misspelled child the same way in the post so I came up first.
crazy articulate ramblings Yes it was.
adopted bad pet says any thing that you type Wow, who looks for these things?
“forward time exp” Someone else is getting bounced letters I see.
example of a goodwill letter asking for a donation Definately not a good example.
adoption bad child Well of course I would come up :smitten:
So how did you come here today?

I came here my usual way, but lately I’ve been being found by search terms such as “against open adoption” and “open adoption bad”. Hopefully those folks stay awhile.

I’ve been reading through your post and lost track how I found your site, but I believe it was linked from another adoption blog. I also blog, but most of it is passworded protected. I wanted to comment to let you know I have enjoyed reading your post and wish you so much luck in finding your birth mother. I’ll say a prayer for you. I know how much it means. My bmother family contacted me a few years ago Iam now in contact with her, it’s going but it’s very difficult. Just recently I found out the name of my bfather. I have contacted him, but sadly it doesn’t look as though it will go anywhere cause his wife is very upset over it. I’m in my 30s and how adoption has affected my life has hit, all this issues I have I never put them because i was adopted. explains a lot of why I am the way Iam, not bad but I have issues. On top of that I have so much guilt over my aparents, I know my contact hurts them and then everyone wants to give advice and all that does is hurt me more. anyway I didnt mean to go into all that. take care and i can’t wait to read the post when you find your bmother.

Hi suz, sitemeter is pretty cool
Hi Poor Stature yeah they could learn some stuff from you.
Hi Anita, thanks for dropping by. Feel free to share, if you want some place to talk I recommend Chosen Babies which is an adoptee only email group (www.chosen-babies.com) you can feel free to share your feelings there and feel safe. As for reading the post about me reuniting, heck, I can’t wait to have a chance to write it!!!!

I like how you can put any name on wordpress.
I got here because I link to you, but how I originally got here, was I knew about blogging and I thought i bet someone is blogging about adoption and typed adoption blogs and finally found Soul of Adoption Web Ring.
I don’t have a site meter, is it fun?
I liked getting the search engine search, “True Joy with my adopted daughter” hahahahahahahahahahah
