That comment on Claudes blog really bothered me too. For days actually. SO many people stuck in their own little world with no regard for everyone around them. It’s sad, very very sad.

Thank you so much for this. You write so well what I can’t begin to articulate. My adoptive mom’s insecurity hurts me to no end. My mother-in-law was “mom” to me from day one, and even that bothered her. She can’t stand to hear me say anything good about her. I get the exact same body language that I do when I talk about my first mom: the stiffening body, the pursed lips, the changed subject. I love my mother-in-law so much, and that causes my adoptive mom pain. Egads.

I think it is very interesting that folks with these type of comments are always anonymous. I also think there are some people out there who are just hateful and strange.

Apparently, just about anyone can get a computer and internet access these days!

Fantastic post.

You hit it on the head for me. Children are NOT a commodity. Regarding relinquishment/adoption, we did NOT have a choice.

I don’t want any of us to be afraid of our parents; I don’t want that fear to hold ANYONE back from finding out information that is a basic right of anyone who is NOT adopted.
