Poet, I'd rather hear her version of events, yours sounds a teeny bit too rosy and makes me suspicious that you might have left out a few key details.

Great post Wraith.

Poet - Tell her not to give up though. I have heard many a story about this happening and both sides were sitting there saying, "well when are they going to write and prove they care for me?" I always tell them to send a card on the others birthday or something to keep a gentle foot in the door without pissing anyone off.

Mia - I wish you were too. I can't wait to get there!!

Oh I so wish I was going to the retreat. I hope it is a healing experience for you. Please write as soon as you get home and tell us everything! I shall live vicariously through you.

you bring up a valid point. i know of a girl who was forced away from her family to give birth to her baby, and then was forced to sign the baby into adoption. she was to return to the family and act as nothing happened. she did. it was hard. but as time went on she found happiness once more. she has 2 beautiful children, whom she raised into adulthood. a few years back she made a contact with the adopted baby. they sent a few letters back and forth, a picture or two, and then the letters stopped coming. the birth mother has come to accept this as the natural order, she found out that the baby grew into a fine adult. i'm sure it would be nice if the contact could have remained, but for whatever her reasons, the 'child' stopped. the girl i know has also come to terms with all of this, and was happy to have what she learned. and let it go at that. of course, she would like more, but it is not to be....at least for now.

i hope you enjoy school. education = knowledge and knowledge=power. take care, wraith.
