NEWS FLASH: Hospitals are too identifying!
So here is a discussion with the Agency today:
AGENCY: Wraith, By Florida law I cannot give you any identifying information.
ME: So the hospital I was born in is too identifying, that is a stupid law.
AGENCY: Yes, the hospital would be identifying information.
Glad we cleared that up. :wacko: Almost makes you want to go adoptal. (you know, as in postal without the postmen :angel: )

Does your amended bc not have the hospital you were born in? Hmph. I always thought that was the case. Wonder what my daughters bc says? Guess I will have to ask.

Is your B/C one of those nice little blacked out pieces of paper? J’s had no hospital, doctor, time of birth or anything. We could actually see the stuff under the blacked out part but not good enough to read anything. Ya gotta love the state of Florida!

OH Damn, Florida. Yeah, they are FUCKED UP. My daughter was illegally taken from me and adopted there… There are search angels in Florida….

Adoptal - Hmmm I like that term I really like that term. In fact I am going adoptal now with all the bs in adoption law. Have you checked some of the registries out there to find someone else who was adopted through the same agency? That is how I found out what hospital I was born in. There are no blanks on my bc. They have a completely different form for us adoptees in the state of Indiana.

I don’t know what advice to give you toher then don’t give up. If for no other reason then to break this damn system of sealed information.
